Managed Print Services / Fleet monitoring

    MPS Monitor

A clearer view of your print fleet. Cloud-based device monitoring, automated meter readings and consumable information help connect everyday printing with practical service and supply planning.

Information that supports the next decision

Keep device information connected to service.

MPS Monitor is a cloud platform for remote monitoring and management of printing devices. It brings supported device status, usage and supplies information together so a print fleet can be reviewed as a connected environment.

Within Orion’s Managed Print Services, this information supports conversations about consumables, maintenance and how your equipment is being used. Agree the monitored devices, responsibilities and service scope around your organisation.

Fleet monitoring is different from controlling individual print jobs. MPS Monitor does not replace Epson Print Admin for authenticated release and user-level print policies, or Epson Connect for email and mobile printing.

Practical visibility across your print environment.

Start with the information your team needs, then confirm the functions supported by the exact devices and monitoring configuration.

    Cloud-based fleet visibility

Bring information from compatible printing devices into a central cloud platform. Review the fleet across agreed locations instead of collecting device information separately at every office.

Confirm the supported devices, data collection requirements, network access and authorised users before deployment.

    Device status & usage

Monitor device conditions and output information to help identify equipment that needs attention. A shared view makes it easier to discuss a developing issue with the people responsible for support.

Available information depends on what each device exposes and whether its monitoring connection is operating.

    Automated meter readings

Collect supported print counters automatically, reducing routine manual reading and transcription. Use meter information as part of the agreed print-service administration process.

Counter types, collection frequency and how readings are used are confirmed for your devices and service arrangement.

    Consumable monitoring

Review supported ink or toner levels to plan replenishment around the fleet’s needs. Supply information helps Orion coordinate consumables without relying only on a user noticing a low-supply message.

Supply fulfilment and ordering rules are configured separately. Monitoring does not guarantee delivery dates or prevent every interruption.

    Alerts & service coordination

Use automatic notifications to bring relevant device events to the attention of the responsible team. Connect monitoring information with the next service or replenishment decision.

Agree alert recipients, responsibilities and escalation arrangements. An alert is not a guaranteed response or repair time.

    Reporting & fleet review

Review device usage and operational information to inform print-environment discussions. Look at workload patterns alongside locations, business needs and the capabilities of the equipment.

Use the information to guide decisions, not to promise a fixed saving or assume the same workload suits every device.

From connected devices to informed action.

    1. 01

      Assess

Identify the printers, locations and information required. Check device compatibility and network access.

    2. 02

      Connect

Configure the agreed data collection agent and cloud environment, with responsibilities and access defined.

    3. 03

      Monitor

Collect supported counters, device conditions and consumable information. Configure relevant notifications.

    4. 04

      Review & coordinate

Use monitoring and reporting to plan supplies, discuss issues and review fleet requirements with Orion.

Confirm the scope before connecting your fleet.

MPS Monitor is not limited to an Epson-only environment. Orion can assess compatible Epson and HP printing devices as part of a Managed Print Services discussion; support for one model does not establish support for every model or function.

    • Check exact device models, supported data and collection-agent requirements.
    • Agree network connectivity, hosting and information-handling requirements with your IT team.
    • Define authorised access, alert recipients and who acts on notifications.
    • Confirm licences, implementation work and any separately configured integrations.
    • Agree consumable fulfilment, maintenance and support responsibilities in your service arrangement.
