Print-management applications
Use a compatible solution to support managed output and device access. Epson Print Admin is one documented application; other products require their own compatibility and licence review.
Connect devices with business processes
Adapt compatible Epson business printers and multifunction devices to supported web-based enterprise applications and third-party workflows as your document requirements change.
Epson Open Platform (EOP) lets compatible devices participate in enterprise software workflows. It is a connection capability—not a complete document-management product or a bundle of every third-party application.
Rather than treating the printer as an isolated output device, plan how its supported functions will connect to the software your organisation uses. Compatible web-based applications can adapt device workflows around changing business and IT requirements.
EOP supports compatible independent software vendor solutions on eligible devices. The functions available depend on the application, device model, firmware, licences and configuration.
Epson Print Admin works with Epson Open Platform for supported print-management deployments. MPS Monitor provides fleet-monitoring information, while Epson Connect supports internet-based printing and scanning. These are separate solutions with their own compatibility and setup requirements.

Choose an application because it supports your process, then confirm that the device can participate in that application’s workflow.

Assess how supported device functions can interact with a selected enterprise application. Destinations, capture steps and document-processing capabilities belong to the chosen software configuration.
Review supported applications when business processes or infrastructure change. Platform compatibility offers a route to adaptation, not a guarantee that any new system will connect automatically.
Illustrative workflow — configured around your devices and business process.
Identify what staff need to do at the device and where information should move next.
Confirm the specific Epson model, firmware and supported enterprise or third-party application.
Specify licences, identity access, network requirements and the application’s workflow settings.
Check representative documents and permissions before using the connection for daily business work.
A platform connection must be specified as part of a complete solution. Orion can review your device fleet and the business application you want to use.
Epson Open Platform does not mean all applications are included, all destinations are supported or all devices have the same functions. Confirm the scope for your installation.
